Pros:The Installation went easily and there are no problems with it till now.Cons: When it is used in the 'n' mode but when it is used in the backward compatibility 'g' mode, the difference in speed is very high.
Easy set-up, Reliable, very good range and the price was right.I have had several Linksys routers that worked well but at times they were a pain to set up.I needed a router with an external antenna so I could connect it to my attic antenna. This was the only highly rated one that matched those needs. I have not been disappointed.
I have purchased several routers in the last couple of years, all of which because of my lack of computer know, how have until now been unable to follow the directions provided to enable a secure router setup. Thanks to my new D-Link router, I now have a secure home router system and I don't have to swallow my manly pride and ask the Geek squad to come over and secure my home's wireless network. Thanks D-Link for the great user compatable setup. KF Antioch, Ca
I have a small apartment so I have no idea how well it would perform in a large house, but I bet it should be ok. It has a strong, secure signal.
It was so easy to hook up. I was worried before I started hooking it up that it would be a hassle because I get easily frustrateed with hooking computers up to stuff and I expected it to take at least an hour.
I've had this router for about a month now. I also use a Asus Eee netbook that gets the internet through it.
However, I was pleasantly surprised that it took just 5 minutes. I have a basic desktop PC hooked up to it and it works great.
I've not had any problems with it or problems accessing the internet with it. No regrets, I would buy again.
http://srisuresh.wordpress.com/2009/12/14/d-link-dir-625/I had given a 4-Star for distance because I never got a chance to test its range, but it seems to be pretty good. You can also view the signal strength for each wireless device connected from the admin console.
